Finally, chapter 10!

Hi folks!

Thanks for your patience. Hereby, i present you the new chapter:

I will give it to you one day earlier this time, because have other plans for tomorrow, and will probably not have any spare time left.

This does not mean that I'm abandoning Paradigm! I just cant get myself to continue it lately. Forcing myself doesn't seem to be efficient, since that reflects on my writing quality. I need to distance myself from it for a short while, and then get back with fresh motivation. My creativity always works that way.

So far, i finished the editing on the German version (for now). What's left to do is, transferring the changes to English. I started doing that and am now at chapter 3. I will update it here when its finished, plus I'll give you a summary of the changes, so you wouldn't need to re-read everything.

Update ... 2 weeks later -.- ...

Gosh, i finally finished it ...

Most of the changes that i made were about grammar and for aesthetic purpose, to make it all easier to read and better to understand. But i also added some additional information here and there (mostly more info about the looks and background of my characters, to give them more personality and to respond to the critique that they are hard to visualize) I summarized the most important things, so you don't need to read all of it again. So here it comes ...


Stuff, that you didn't know:

-The Prologue gives more insight on the World now. (Its not that long, so its probably easier for you to read it, then for me to explain.)

-Alina normally wears slightly seductive clothing.

-During testing periods, the testers wear special clothing, that is designed to make it easier to connect the People to the U.T.O.P.I.A. Engine.

-Professor Moldwood worked for a Sleep-research institute before. Now his job is to ensure the safety of the testers during the tests.

-Raul is quite social, but hard to talk to when it comes to discuss something complex. He has a weird way to see possession. Ha can haggle for a while for some trivial thing, and give up on it shortly after that.

-Lindsay often wears Retro clothes, which makes her look old fashioned, in a stylish way. She is also a perfectionist.

-Sammy has a rebellious Nature, which is reflected in his clothing stile. He also alway says what he is thinking.

-Martha is corpulent in figure. She chooses comfortable clothes over style, but still menages to look good in them.

-Collin tends to shabby clothing. Some see him as an irresponsible child with questionable hygiene, but he is also kind-hearted and determined to reach his goals.

-Gerald is about 40 years old, he mostly wears Retro-like clothes. He calls himself a freelancer and takes every opportunity to get on stage - he even played at subway stations for a while. Due to his calm Character, he may seem disinterested in most things, but that's not true. He actually likes to debate current Events.

-Marcell mostly wears simple but modern clothes, on special occasions he tends to be more extravagant. He enjoys a good conversation, but always tries to be the lead-talker. He hangs around with Gerald a lot.

-Ellisons serious expression and the strict look my be a bit scary at first, but under the hard shell, she is a cheerful person, with a healthy sense for sarcasm.

-Debora seems to repress some kind of trauma with her cheerful character. Her short, petite figure and the colorful clothes fits her childish personality.

-In Chapter 7 the explanations of Mr. Matsugami and the Professor are transfered to the other testers in their rooms in real-time. This way everyone gets the same information. (for correcting a small plot-hole)




Honestly, I'm so tired of reading the same chapters over, and over, and over again! If i don't make any progress soon, I'll get sick of my own story!

Chapter 9 is finished (finally)

Horraaayyy ....

Yea, i know what you are saying: "Where the hell has this guy disappeard to?"

Well a lot of stuff is happening at the time ... people, who i don't want to have anything to do with, are forcing themselves in to my life ... things that need to be taken care off, are popping out one after another ... in short: "Life is happaning!". I find it hard to find time for my hobbys lately, or concentrate on them if i get some.

While i try to sort things out and get my self together again, here is the 9. chapter for you, that i made in the last ... tree weaks? it already has been tree weaks? It feels like time is just running throught my fingers ... :

Hi everyone!

Sorry to disappoint you, but i couldn't finish the translation of the next chapter in time. 

The thing is: In the first half of the week i worked hard to finish the Editing on the original version (Some changes and additions are made there, but not updated yet). And after that, i had some health problems, that prevented me from doing anything useful.

The translation is half done though, so I'm quite sure, that it will be finished by next week.

The 8. Chapter is (surprisingly) translated and online.

Most of the Work for that was done the last night, in a translation marathon. Things were complicated and stressful the last week, so the editing on the original were not continued, But i wanted to give you at least something, so here you go:

I'm currently editing the Existing chapters. If i translate them now, chances are high that i would have to redo it later. Right now i can't tell, when the next chapter will be available. (Just that it will probably be a Friday.)

Also other personal matters are interfering with my writing. So the overall progres is much slower. Lets hope that it changes soon.

Anime recommendation

Hallo everyone. 

I have just finished watching the Anime "Glass no Hana to Kowasu Sekai". A hearth warming story about two programs, that are identifying and deleting viruses and corrupted simulations. Their live becomes more interesting as they find an unknown girl, who is looking for a flower garden.

Its not a serial but a movie that is around one-hour long. I really liked it and you should give it a try too. I will also add it to my "List of recomendet VR-Titels".

Chapter 3 finished (+prologue)

Hi folks.

The translation of chapter 3 is finished and online. Also, the prologue is now ready (a weak later than promised. you can find both of it here on my blog.

I also did some editing on the previous chapters, so there should be much less misspellings now. Its still far from being perfect, though.

Hi Everyone.

Welcome to my new Block, where i will be posting and updating my Web Novel "Paradigm".

Well actually this is the English translation of the Novel. The original is written in German, have 13 Chapters already and can be found here:

Currently there is not much to see, just one translated Chapter, but i intend to update it regularly. The Plan is, to release one Chapter in German and one translation each weak. (Probably on Fridays)
